What are natural soaps and how are they different from commercial soaps?
Soaps are often made from synthetic ingredients including parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, synthetic perfumes and artificial colouring which are harmful when absorbed into your skin. On the contrary, natural soaps are made from natural ingredients such as healthy oils, essential oils, Aloe vera, plant extracts, fruits and other biodegradable ingredients that are good for your skin.
Why your soaps are priced much higher than other soaps that readily available in the market?
As mentioned earlier, Beauty Sutra is a natural soap brand. We harness nature’s goodness to handcraft highly effective skincare products. These natural ingredients are sourced from their places of origin across the best global markets.
How do I know which soap to use for my skin type?
There is no single ‘perfect’ soap that is suitable for everyone. Everybody has a different skin type and you will have to choose a soap that suits yours. Beauty Sutra natural soaps are suitable for all skin types across all age-groups. You may please go through all our soap variants here, to understand their composition and the function and active properties of each ingredient used. We would say the best way to go about it is to try all our soaps and select the one that pampers your skin the most!
Disclaimer: Please check the ingredients which are clearly listed on the packaging of each product. If you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients, avoid using those. We recommend you do to a patch test to see if there are any issues.
How do I do a patch test?
Patch tests are simple to do. Take a small sample of the product and apply it on the inside of your wrists, inner arm or elbow and leave it there for up to 24 hrs. If there is any irritation or redness please do not use the product, however, if there is no reaction you can safely use the product.
Pls tell me more about Soap Care?
- Do NOT tear the lamination cover unless your soap is ready for daily use.
- Always keep the soap in use in a dry and moist free area. Place it on a dry plastic or wooden soap case to drain excess water. This will improve its shelf life. Keep the soap in a covered case during the monsoon.
- Please check the ingredients mentioned on the packaging before use. If you have sensitive or allergic skin, it’s always recommended to do a patch test. Discontinue if irritation occurs.

- Being a natural handmade product, the soaps are likely to vary in terms of shape, scent and colour. Don’t worry, that’s not a defect.
- Natural soaps have a tendency to change colour, which is completely due to their natural ingredients. Natural oils may tend to make the soaps softer on the surface with time and use, which again is not a cause of concern. Just rinse away the excess softer layer if formed.

What is the shelf life of Beauty Sutra Soaps?
Beauty Sutra soaps are safe to use for 12 – 24 months from the manufacturing date. However, as they are natural, this can vary from product to product depending on the ingredients used and the environment it’s kept. All our products come with a manufacturing date (month and year) and the ideal period to consume it. To further sustain a bar’s lifespan, store it in a dry, well-drained spot instead of a damp dish, so it doesn’t melt away when it’s not in use.
